Help !!! the colour is different - why ?

What causes the same paint colour to appear different in other parts of your  home.

1 - Lighting: The lighting in a room can greatly affect how colours appear. Different types of lighting (such as natural light, incandescent bulbs, fluorescent bulbs, or LED bulbs) can cast different colours or intensities of light, which can change the appearance of the paint color.

2 - Surrounding colours: The colours of the other objects in the room (such as furniture, décor, or flooring) can reflect onto the walls and make the paint colour look different.

3 - Wall texture: The texture of the wall (such as smooth, rough, or textured) can affect how the paint colour appears, as the paint may appear darker or lighter depending on how it absorbs or reflects light.

4 - Sheen: The sheen of the paint (such as matte, eggshell, satin, or glossy) can also affect how the colour appears. Glossier sheens tend to reflect more light, which can make the colour look lighter or brighter.

5 - Time of day: The time of day can also affect how colours appear, as the angle and intensity of sunlight changes throughout the day.

All of these factors can contribute to the same paint colour appearing different in other parts of a house. If you're trying to get a consistent look throughout your home, it's a good idea to paint large swatches of the colour on each wall and observe how the colour changes throughout the day and under different lighting conditions.

By observing how the colour appears under different lighting conditions, you can get a better sense of how the colour will look in the room during different times of the day and in different seasons. This can help you avoid any surprises later on, such as finding out that the colour looks much darker or lighter than you expected under a certain type of light.

Additionally, by painting large swatches of the color on each wall, you can see how the color interacts with other objects in the room, such as furniture or artwork. This can help you make sure that the colour you choose complements the rest of the room's décor.

Overall, taking the time to observe how the colour appears in different lighting conditions and under different circumstances can help you make a more informed decision and ensure that you're happy with the final result.
